LIFECRAFT Privacy Notice

LIFECRAFT is a free learning app built as a student project by Avani C., with a parent supervising. It helps students practice adult life skills. This notice explains what we collect and how we use it, in plain language.
Who can use LIFECRAFT
LIFECRAFT is for people 13 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child under 13 has used LIFECRAFT, email us and we’ll delete their data. We follow the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other applicable child-privacy laws.
What we collect
- An anonymous ID so your progress saves. No email or password needed.
- What you type into the app: first name, age, grade, school (optional), city, job and pay, savings, your plan and checklist choices.
- Your email, only if you create an account. It’s used to send you sign-in links and nothing else. We never email you marketing.
- How you use the app: which sections you open and which steps you finish, with the date and time.
- Feedback you choose to give: your ratings and comments.
- Coach questions and answers.
We never ask for Social Security numbers, bank or card numbers, passwords or home addresses. Please don’t type them into the app.
Inviting friends
You can share a personal invite link by email, text or any app you like. Invites are sent from your own email or phone. LIFECRAFT never sees or stores your friends’ email addresses or phone numbers. When a friend joins through your link, we only record that they came from an invite.
How we use it
- To save your progress and personalize your plan and budget.
- To answer your coach questions. Your question and a summary of your app data are sent to Anthropic, the company that makes the Claude AI model, to generate the answer.
- To keep the coach safe. Coach conversations are stored and may be reviewed by the project team to catch problems.
- To learn how students use LIFECRAFT and improve it. When we share results (for example, in a school competition), we only share combined numbers and anonymous comments, never your name, email or anything that identifies you.
We don’t sell your data or use it for ads.
The AI coach
The LIFECRAFT Coach is an AI system, not a person. It can make mistakes. It’s for learning, not professional financial, tax or legal advice. Talk to a parent, school counselor or professional before big decisions. If you’re ever in crisis, call or text 988, or call 911 in an emergency.
Services we use
- Supabase stores saved progress and coach logs.
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Anthropic provides the Claude AI model behind the coach.
- Resend sends account sign-in emails.
Deleting your data
Use Delete my data on the My account page. It removes your account, saved progress, usage history, feedback and coach history. You can also email us.
